Fairmont Sonoma is proud to hold a 4-Green Key designation. This recognition, awarded by Green Key Global—the leading sustainability certification program for the hotel and lodging industry—highlights Fairmont Sonoma’s national leadership and commitment to environmental stewardship. The hotel has established comprehensive programs involving management, employees, guests, and the community, which have delivered significant and measurable results.
Our resort gardens not only supply fresh, natural ingredients for our restaurant dishes, but they also play a vital role in sustaining local wildlife. By growing many of our own herbs, we reduce our reliance on outside sources, ensuring the highest quality in every meal. These gardens are also a haven for pollinators like hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies, allowing these local species to thrive.
We have made a pledge to reduce waste by eliminating single-use plastics resort-wide. You will notice these changes in your guest room with the use of large format Le Labo® toiletries and recyclable coffee pods, as well as the elimination of plastic silverware, straws and packaging. Guests will also find stations throughout the resort providing cold, filtered water to refill personal water bottles.
The Fairmont Sonoma Educational Scholarship Fund was created to support team members and their families pursue high school or college education, and/or participate in extracurricular activities that assist the pursuit of further education.
